I just re-read Godin’s post, and while I think his premises are messed up (and I find him irritating in general), I realized that I think his conclusion is just fine (and should maybe take back what I said above). One way of restating his position would be “libraries should spend less time and money on collections and more time and money on information literacy.” This is a perfectly reasonable position.
